A touch of history… Focussed on the here and now

I am a certifiably creative doodler, painter, writer, designer, crafter, builder, merry-maker, get-my-hands-dirty, contemplative soul whose days are never the same (thank goodness). Over the last 20 or so years I have been building and marketing brands, writing, editing and publishing reports,  books and magazines, designing websites and building tiny houses, painting and doing commission work… And my world is indeed a bright, busy and happy space!

Unapologetically Creative – tiny art with a big heart

My love affair with colour has grown exponentially since moving to the countryside 9 years ago. Self-taught, I have always been drawn to art and over the years have combined this fascination with detail to create my current acrylic paintings. A bit of a late bloomer I dabbled with mixed media, fabric, oil and water paint, but acrylic remains my preferred medium. Having recently discovered a love for small landscape paintings my desire to paint has increased tenfold. After 20 or so years art has become the way I identify with the world and express myself. Art is a powerful medium that captures a viewer’s heart in many different ways. My paintings make my heart smile and for me that is a true blessing.

Big picture stories – one word at a time

A second love and one just as close to my heart are the power of stories. Impactful and life changing words have the incredible ability to connect and engage on all levels. Our lives speak louder than words and I find immense joy in meshing these together to capture the moments in people’s lives and businesses.
